Embodied Yin Yoga

With Jenny Roche in Pebble Hall

1 h
7 British pounds
The Resonance Centre

Description

Embodied Yin is a yoga practice that combines the principles of Chinese Medicine Elemental Theory and Yin Yoga with the concept of embodiment, emphasising mindful awareness of sensation. It encourages a deep connection with the body's internal experience rather than focusing solely on achieving a particular shape. Yin Yoga, taught through the lens of ‘Tantra’ encourages participants to a state of presence by inviting them to ‘rest in movement’. The practice combines intuitive movement alongside the traditional stillness of Yin Yoga for a deeper somatic experience.

We must however have a cut off point of 5 minutes after the class start time to avoid lateness becoming disruptive to other people’s practice.  Valuables: - Class participants are responsible for their own belongings whilst at The Resonance Centre. The Resonance Centre CIC cannot accept responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.  Appropriate Attire: - We advise comfortable clothing that allows for free movement. We also advise that  participants to remove jewellery to avoid injury or damage to mats. Hygiene: - Please always ensure that you are clean for practice. This is a yogic discipline and shows respect for your surroundings Yogis.  Health Information: - Please inform the instructor of any injuries, health conditions, or discomfort they experience during the class.  Assumption of Risk: - Please acknowledge that yoga involves physical activity and that anyone participating does so at their own risk.  Discretion: - The Resonance Centre CIC and those teaching classes reserve the right to prohibit participation if they believe it's unsafe for a student to practice or if someone poses a risk to others.
